X-Factor

So, we all had heard about the so called "X-Factors" in entertainment industry. But what are people's concern when they mention this whole x-factor?
Well, first of all we have to see which part of entertainment we're talking about. Are we looking for stardom in music? Or as an actor? Or as a social media influencer? Or maybe anything else? All of this industry have a lot of requirements in common but certain qualities must be emphasized in each of the sub-industries in entertainment in order to make one as "star". Here we are going to have a breakdown of the most common must-have qualities.

Picture
Talent. Well this is an undeniable fact. When you are in entertainment it means you must have some talent that you've been pressuring this path. To be frank I believe everyone have all sort of talents and it's just about how far they've pushed themselves to enhance those talents. It's always the best to focus on your main skill, if you are a singer then spend most of your time on enhancing your singing or if you're an actor do the same about acting. But it's always great to be "all rounded" artists and go beyond what you're supposed to be. As a great singer, you'd never know when some acting skills will come handy or as an actor you'd never know when they'll ask you to sing a song in one of your plays or movies. So, it's always good to have priorities but don't miss on other possibilities too.

Appearance. We are living in the "glass age", the era that no one and nothing is hidden. Anywhere you go, there are people and those people have cameras in their pockets and those cameras are connected to the internet, right? So, basically there always is a possibility of being seen by millions. As an artist in this era, you don't want to be seen with a bad hair or flip-flops isn't it? You don't want your fans -or potential fans- to see the worst version of you! It is always important to keep your appearance neat and presentable or at least matching with whatever your image as an artist would be. Always remember, you're being watched. Doesn't matter you're going for your friend's wedding or you're just going to the supermarket to buy milk. Bottom line is that you're being seen, and you must keep yourself maintained.

The image. What's your image as an artist? What do you want your looks and your actions tell about you? Do you want to be "good kid" or "badass" or anything else that you might want to be? It can be in alignment with your real personality or it can be an imaginary image you'd make and stuck to it. Something like Slim Shady character that Eminem created and stuck to it for years and years and it was pretty successful!

The unique selling points. This one is very important. Uniqueness is one factor that can create a world of difference for an artist. In fact, if you look at it, no "non-original" artist had ever made it big. The industry is filled with people from different backgrounds and different talents and almost any spot you'd think of, any angle you'd want to approach, is already taken by a big name. What would be your uniqueness? Why the producers and labels have to invest in you?
An artist is like a product and same as any other product, needs to have a unique selling point to sell and to attract the investors!

Attitude. Last but not least. Let's say you have all of these factors mentioned above. They'd be all completely useless if your attitude is not right! Be a good person okay?!
